Unique, sustainable, inspiring: the new MIC office building sets the standard for modern working environments

With its new location in Linz, MIC is sending a powerful message: sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics come together in one of Austria's largest wood hybrid construction projects to create a total work of art. This visionary building represents a new era in construction—resource-efficient, forward-looking, and people-oriented.

The interior design was created by the OFFORA team, which has set new standards for the new world of work with innovative concepts and a focus on employee well-being.

A building as a model for sustainability

The new MIC building is not only an architectural masterpiece, but also a symbol of active responsibility and an expression of the values of a family-run company.

It embodies sustainability, innovation, and mindfulness, serving as an inspiration for all employees. Through the consistent use of sustainable materials, energy-efficient technologies, and modular construction, the building sends a strong signal for a green future. The aim is to set an example that motivates employees to integrate sustainable thinking and action into their everyday work and beyond. This office building is more than just a workplace—it is an ambassador for the conscious, responsible use of our resources.

More than an office—a place of community

The new MIC building is much more than just a workplace. It offers over 10,000 m² of space for creativity, exchange, and relaxation:

  • Ground floor: A high-quality staff restaurant with hotel-style fresh cuisine, seating for 160, and a spacious terrace (200 m²).

  • Upper floors: Hybrid workspaces with state-of-the-art technology, flexible booking systems, well-designed quiet rooms, and innovative acoustic solutions.

  • Attic: Creative rooms, conference areas, and a roof terrace with inspiring views of Linz and the surrounding countryside.

In addition, an underground parking garage, bicycle parking spaces, electric charging stations, and e-scooters promote employee mobility.

Design and functionality in harmony

OFFORA has created a working environment that combines well-being and productivity through a harmonious color and material concept. Different room concepts—from concentrated individual workstations to working cafés and creative meeting rooms—offer flexibility for every working style.

"At OFFORA, we want to bring that home feeling to the office. Our interior design creates spaces where people feel comfortable and enjoy coming together."

Hybrid working: flexibility meets community

The new MIC building sets new standards for hybrid working. The combination of state-of-the-art workstations and an open, inspiring office atmosphere creates the perfect balance between on-site work and working from home. Employees have the freedom to decide flexibly how and where they want to work.

The MIC building offers much more than conventional offices—it creates a working environment that meets the highest standards. With training rooms, a modern library, and a fitness room, MIC focuses on an "office as a service" concept reminiscent of the standards of the upscale hotel industry. Flexible workspaces, inspiring retreats, and high-quality equipment make the office workplace a place that surpasses any home office.

Welcome to the new world of work—welcome to MIC

MIC's new office building is a unique OFFORA creation. It combines modern design, well-thought-out functionality, and the highest ecological standards to create a place that inspires pride, inspires creativity, and boosts productivity.
